Receiptable unlocks the value of receipt data for banks and retailers throughout the MENA region. Our proprietary platform seamlessly embeds into financial institutions and merchants to deliver receipts in real-time to apps and wallets consumers already have on their phones.
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us on our mission to digitise the world’s receipts and better engage consumers. Backed by some of the Middle East’s most prominent Venture Capital firms, we’re an early-stage, fast-growing company with offices in Dubai and Bahrain and with our sights set on expansion throughout the MENA region and beyond.
Working hand-in-hand with the Head of Engineering and dev team, you’ll execute a DevOps strategy that scales our product by building out infrastructure from scratch based on best practices and well-architected principles. The experience and knowledge that you bring to the team:
- Building infrastructure through automation within a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Practical experience in cloud software engineering and best practices with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with event-driven architecture at scale.
- Experience using a variety of databases including DynamoDB and Aurora(Postgres).
- A pragmatic passion for automation through continuous innovation and improvement.
It would be a bonus if you bring:
- Experience with supporting serverless and microservices at scale with high reliability and resilience.
- Experience with security best practices on cloud environments including how you handle sensitive data.
- An understanding of what it takes to build scalable platforms using techniques around eventual consistency, caching and observability.
Finally, a little on our technology:
- Cloud-based, AWS-hosted, and Infrastructure as Code at our core.
- We also support native SDKs to make it easier for our partners to integrate.
- We lean on AWS serverless technologies such as API Gateway, ALBs, Lambda, Kinesis, SNS and SQS.
- Our backend services are primarily TypeScript and NodeJS containers running in Lambda and Amplify.
- We store data in DynamoDB, AWS Aurora (Postgres), and S3.
